In our search for great pizza in the Westerly RI area, several locals recommended for us to try Vetrano's Restaurant. We finally got around to it and found the staff to be super-friendly (hi Leslie!). We were surprised to see that they sold pizza by the slice.
If you're staying anywhere in Rhode Island near Westerly or over the border of Connecticut nearby this is definitely worth the drive to amazing Italian food. Service was okay however for some reason it wasn't busy and we had to wait to get our check almost an hour with a bunch of kids so be prepared in case it happens…
Lived in the area for a while and this was my first time at Vetrano's and I wished I had visited sooner. It was a business dinner and found the atmosphere perfect for conversation without having to talk over each other. Our server was delightful and attentive.
Came here the day after a big snowstorm and they were still open. Amazing service, grapefruit martini was great, calamari, bolognese, and meatball grinder all incredible. I get takeout pizza a lot, my favorite is grandmas style but this time I dined it and it was awesome.
