Quick answers before you book

How much does mobile pizza oven catering cost?
As general guidance, most full-service mobile pizza caterers charge somewhere around $18–30 per person, with event minimums that commonly land in the $800–1,500 range — so a 50-guest backyard party often totals $1,000–1,500 all-in, while a full wedding dinner runs more. Those are typical ranges, not quotes: the real number depends on guest count, menu, travel, and add-ons, so get two or three quotes and compare what each package actually covers. Every listing here links straight to the caterer's website and shows real host reviews where they exist, so comparing takes minutes, not days. Read the full cost guide →
How many pizzas do we need?
For full-service catering you usually don't count pies at all — packages are priced per person and the crew bakes continuously until everyone's fed. If you're planning quantities yourself (say, for an oven rental), the rule that solves most of it: adults eat about 3 slices, kids about 2, and a standard 12-inch pizza has 8 slices — so 50 guests works out to roughly 18–20 pizzas as a planning baseline, fewer if there are real sides. What's the difference between pizza catering and a pizza oven rental?
Full-service catering means the crew arrives with the oven, the dough, the toppings, and the skill — you don't lift a finger. An oven rental (often called DIY hire) gets you the oven for the day, typically somewhere in the $150–400 range, and everything else — dough, toppings, and hours of cooking on party day — is on you. The rental looks cheaper on paper; the gap closes fast once you price ingredients and your own labor. 9 providers here are marked with the "Oven rental" badge — evidence from their own site or from host reviews. Is wood-fired pizza catering really different?
It's the heart of the category. A wood-fired oven runs hot enough to blister a pie in a couple of minutes, and the oven itself becomes part of the event — guests watch pizzas stretch, fire, and come out minutes before they eat them. Gas and hybrid ovens trade a little of the show for consistency and easier venue logistics; plenty of excellent caterers run them. 779 caterers in this directory show wood-fired evidence and wear the badge for it. Can pizza catering handle gluten-free and vegan guests?
Often yes — many mobile pizza caterers carry gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese, and the good ones manage cross-contact seriously (separate prep, dedicated peels). 452 caterers here show gluten-free or vegan options proven on their own site or menu, and wear a badge for it. Mention dietary needs in your first quote email so the caterer plans for them rather than improvising on the day. Dietary options guide →
How is this directory verified?
Two ways. Listings with a Google Business presence carry their real ratings, reviews, and photos, and we mine those reviews — plus each caterer's own website — for proof of the things that matter: wedding experience, corporate work, oven rental, wood-fired ovens, dietary options. A further 282 caterers were found via web search and aren't yet rated on Google — those are clearly marked as web-listed, shown after rated caterers, and never ranked above them. No badge is ever a guess.
How are the caterers ranked?
By what hosts actually say: rating weighted by review count, so a 4.9 with 200 reviews outranks a lone 5.0. Web-listed caterers have no Google rating yet, so they're listed separately after the rated ones rather than mixed in. The data comes from public listings, the caterers' own websites, and host reviews — no caterer pays for placement, and no caterer can buy a badge.
